KUALA LUMPUR – Touch ‘n Go eWallet will be charging a 1% conversion fee for overseas transactions April 25 onwards.

“Effective April 25, 2024, a 1% overseas transaction conversion fee will be included in the daily exchange rate of your travel destination. 

“The sum that you’re paying from the effective date is inclusive of this charge.”

This was updated on its frequently asked questions section on its official portal. 

Apart from Malaysia, Touch ‘n Go also expanded its service to other Asian countries, such as China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand.

These Touch ‘n Go cross-border payments can be made via the China-based digital payment system, Alipay+, where the respective currency will be automatically detected by the e-wallet, it added. – April 8, 2024
