A toddler that had been left in a hot car on a 92F day was rescued by police after witnesses spotted the two-year-old sitting alone.
Footage shared by Clark County Sheriff's Office in Washington shows an officer approaching the car, as concerned bystanders surrounded the vehicle to try and provide shade for the two-year-old.
One individual in the parking lot can be heard telling the officer that the child is “fading”. The officer then broke into the vehicle to rescue him.
The boy, who investigators believe was inside the car for 16 minutes, was then placed in an air-conditioned patrol car, before being evaluated by medics.
Both parents now face charges of reckless endangerment, and Child Protective Services was notified.
