
- Warner Bros has launched a marketing advert for Tom Cruise's film Digger that embraces its sharply divided reviews, placing praise such as 'magnificent' alongside criticism calling it 'insufferable'.
- Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, the film stars Cruise as an oil tycoon attempting to save Europe from an environmental disaster he caused, supported by Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, and Sandra Hüller.
- Critical reception is heavily divided, with The Independent giving the film a two-star review while The Telegraph awarded it four stars and named it the most bonkers film of the year.
- Digger currently holds a score of 52 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes and 44 on Metacritic, making it Iñárritu’s lowest-rated feature film to date.
