Tom Homan has spoken out after Donald Trump fired Pam Bondi as attorney general on Thursday, 2 April.

The politician's 14-month tenure at the Department of Justice came to an end, making her the second Cabinet official to be ousted during the US president's second term.

Trump wrote in a Truth Social post that Bondi will be moving on from the government, describing her as a “Great American Patriot and a loyal friend.”

Speaking to Fox News, the White House Border Czar said, "I wasn't in the loop on that.

"I have her personal phone number, we talk quite a bit... I wish Pam Bondi the best, and I think Todd Blanche will step up and won't skip a beat."
