Sir Tom Jones has postponed two US concerts on the advice of his doctor after being struck by “a bad case of the flu”.
The 86-year-old Welsh singer said he is “truly sorry” following the decision.
Sir Tom is part-way through his Come Gather Round World Tour, which began this summer with dates across the UK and Europe before moving on to a run of shows in North America.
His Monday concert in Los Angeles and Tuesday's show in San Diego have both been pushed back.
Announcing the news on Instagram, he wrote: “I’ve had a great time these last few weeks, completing 20 shows and singing for wonderful audiences across the USA, but unexpectedly I’ve been hit with a bad case of the flu.
“Following doctor’s advice, I unfortunately have to reschedule tonight’s show in Los Angeles and tomorrow’s show in San Diego.”

New dates have been set for both performances.
The San Diego concert will now take place at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park on November 3, while the Los Angeles show has been moved to November 4.
“I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. I look forward to seeing you all soon,” he added.
The message also said: “All tickets for the original dates will remain valid, however, if customers are unable to attend the rescheduled dates, they are advised to contact their original point of purchase for a refund.”
The post went out just hours before Sir Tom had been due to perform at the Greek Theatre. The Los Angeles venue was among those leaving comments wishing him well.
The singer, whose 1960s anthems include It's Not Unusual and What's New Pussycat?, made headlines recently when he revealed that ITV “made the decision” to “fire” him from The Voice UK coaching panel.
He shared that news on Instagram last month, amid speculation he had been “dropped” from its 2027 series. Sir Tom has been an on-off coach on the popular singing competition since it launched in 2012.
Away from television, his hits also include Delilah and She's A Lady.
Over a music career spanning more than six decades, he has achieved three UK number one singles and four chart-topping albums. His awards include one Grammy, two Brits and an Ivor Novello Award.
He received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in 2006 for his services to music.
