Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali is facing a ten-month betting ban.
Sky Italia says Tonali's hearing is being held today.
The Italy international is pleading guilty to illegal betting.
Negotiations are taking place between Tonali's agents and the Italian prosecutors about a plea agreement, which will take a few months off the suspension.
Its suggested Tonali will receive a ten-month ban via the plea agreement - otherwise he can expect 12 months.
Tonali was today training with Newcastle.
