Kota Kinabalu: The Consumers Front of Sabah (CFOS) wants registration of online businesses be made mandatory so that innocent members of the public won’t fall prey to fraudsters.
CFOS President, Nordin Thani, said without mandatory registration, anybody can make false claims or misleading advertisements about a product or service.
“Any advertising material should be approved before publishing or posting it on any social media platform.
