Kota Kinabalu: A top five target has been set for the State Under-23 squad in the MFL Cup competition this season.
Sabah FC’s director Mohd Joh Wid is confident the target will be achieved given the early preparation of the team and the inclusion of some quality players ahead of the new season scheduled to start in May.
“The management is setting a top five target for the team, but to finish in the top three at the end of the season will be a bonus, as we are aware that all the other teams will also do their best and have a target to meet as well.
“To ensure that we can meet the target, there will be a number of friendlies lined up for the team before the start of the season,” he said on Friday.
