Top Line posts 61.6% surge in first-half profit

TOP Line Business Development Corp. on Friday said net income in the first half reached P123.21 million, up 61.6 percent from the P76.26 million posted in the same period last year and driven by the strong performance of its commercial fuel business.

In a statement, the company said revenues surged 94.2 percent to P3.84 billion from P1.97 billion a year earlier, supported by improved performances of its core business.

Chairman, President and CEO Eugene Erik Lim noted that this was the first time that Top Line surpassed the previous year’s full-year net income within the first half.

“Our performance continues to be anchored on the strength of our commercial fuel business, while the increasing contribution of our Light Fuels retail segment gives us a broader platform for sustained growth,” he added.

Commercial fuel trade generated P3.47 billion in revenues, up 81.4 percent from P1.91 billion, while commercial fuel volume rose 31.6 percent to 56.71 million liters from 43.09 million liters.

Retail fuel generated P369.24 million in revenues, surging from P64.31 million a year ago as retail fuel sales by volume jumped to 5.30 million liters from 1.34 million liters.

Consolidated fuel sales climbed 39.6 percent to 62.01 million liters compared to 44.43 million liters in the same period of 2025.

Following its successful P1.5-billion follow-on offering in June 2026, the company said it expected increased capacity to pursue its growth strategy and help reinforce energy security in the Visayas.

“As we expand our commercial fuel operations and retail network, our goal is to build a stronger and more resilient fuel supply chain for the Visayas. We remain focused on ensuring that businesses, motorists, and communities have access to reliable fuel supply to support sustained regional growth,” Lim said.

Top Line shares on Friday jumped P0.07, or 4.32 percent, to close at P1.69 apiece.
