Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou was happy after their 2-2 draw at Brentford on Sunday.
Emerson Royal grabbed an equaliser for Spurs as the Bees took the lead through Yoane Wissa after Bryan Mbeumo's penalty cancelled out Cristian Romero's opener.
Postecoglou said: "Pleased with the effort considering everything that was going on out there, we acquitted ourselves well. Obviously 2-1 down, penalty, own goal, you can feel sorry for yourself but the lads handled it really well, we controlled the game for the most part, we were probably weren't as much of a threat in the final third as we would like to be but it's a difficult place to come and we can't fault the effort.
"We had Micky (van de Ven), Destiny (Udogie) and Vic (Guglielmo Vicario) making their debuts together. Obviously they're going to need to get used to each other. We took a bit of a gamble throwing them all in and I thought all of them handled themselves really well.
"Micky has only had three sessions with us. I could have waited to put him in there but he's a good footballer."
On Richarlison, he added: "I thought he worked hard today but we didn't use him enough. He had a couple of half opportunities. I think we didn't look to use him enough today."
