Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou insists Ivan Perisic was part of his plans this season.
The 34 year-old winger's season is over after suffer an ACL injury in training this week.
Postecoglou reflected on Friday: "This disappoints Ivan more than anyone else.
"He is a true professional. This situation upsets us too, because he was very important for the team. He has a bright mind and played an important role in all our matches.
"I have no doubt that Perisic will return to the club and reach the level that was before his injury."
