Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou hopes that everyone can draw a line under last weekend's VAR controversy.
The North London club inadvertently benefited from a poor decision by VAR to disallow an onside Luis Diaz goal for Liverpool.
Spurs went on to win the game 2-1, while Liverpool received two red cards in the contest.
Asked about the dust settling, Postecoglou told reporters: It's a bit of a weird one. Usually when something major happens you get a sense of it during the game but I didn't and I don't think anyone really had a sense that something significant had happened.
Maybe I'm just focussed on the game but I didn't get that sense. After the game the ref mentioned to me there was a statement coming out but even then, the first questioning I got wasn't about that. It was only when I got to the press conference and all you blokes were muttering among yourselves and not listening to me that I knew something important must be happening. And then you kind of realise what's happened.
Obviously a fairly significant even during a game of football. Look, whatever I say is gong to be seen through the prism that we were the beneficiaries of the mistake and we certainly were that.
The facts of it are that it was a legitimate goal Liverpool scored that wasn't given. You kind of look at why it's not given because that's the first thing you question: obviously something has broken down.
It became clear it wasn't an integrity issue, it wasn't a misappropriation of the law, it was an error in communication, a mistake, a mistake which cost Liverpool. I get that it's an unusual one in that it's never happened before. But at the same time we're in a new space anyway with technology where I think they'll be a lot of firsts with the way we deal with these things.
My view is we want an error-less, faultless system which I don't think exists and will never exist unless we want to turn our game into other codes where the event goes for four hours and we're explaining every decision."
