Tottenham believe that German coach Julian Nagelsmann is the man to take charge of the club next season.
The ex-Bayern Munich coach is seemingly out of the running for the Chelsea job, with Mauricio Pochettino set to earn that post.
According to the Independent, Nageslmann does want the Spurs job and believes he can succeed.
However, he wants a lot of control, not only regarding the staff he brings but on transfer movements.
While he acknowledges that clubs have setups that include directors of football and other such roles, Nagelsmann wants more authority than simply picking the team from a squad that is given to him.
Such a demand may have been why he was not hired at Chelsea.
