Tottenham defender Emerson Royal is convinced he has the confidence of manager Antonio Conte.
Emerson also insists he has no problem with the arrival of fellow right-back Pedro Porro last month.
"It is good. As we say in football, a good fight. I want to play, and so will he. The important thing here is that we have players who will fight for places, and the club needs that type of player. We have tough competition and we will need all the players," he told the Daily Mail.
Emerson also spoke of his relationship with Conte.
"I think he never lost confidence in me. We've talked a lot this season. I made a mistake in a game, against Sporting if I remember correctly, and then we talked. He said I would continue to do my job and that he trusted me.
"We have a good relationship. He wants to help all players. He is here to teach, and I am here to learn. I try to absorb as much of his knowledge as I can."
