Tottenham and Juventus offer condolences to interim manager Igor Tudor following the death of his father, with the Croatian missing media duties after a home defeat.

TOTTENHAM Hotspur have offered their condolences to interim manager Igor Tudor following the death of his father.

The 47-year-old Croatian did not conduct post-match media duties after Spurs’ 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday after being informed of a family bereavement. Assistant Bruno Saltor stepped in but declined to give further details on the “family issue”.

“Everyone at Tottenham Hotspur is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Igor Tudor’s father Mario,” a club statement said. “Our thoughts and condolences go out to Igor and his family during this incredibly difficult time.”

Italian giants Juventus, where Tudor previously played and managed, also issued a statement of sympathy on social media platform X. “Juventus stands with Igor Tudor and his family at this difficult time,” the club posted. “Juventus joins in mourning the passing of his father.”

Relegation-threatened Tottenham are now without a match for three weeks due to the international break and their exits from cup competitions. They are next in action away to Sunderland on April 12.
