Tottenham star Son Heung-min has earned a year in his age after a surprise ruling.

The South Korean has become a year younger in his homeland due to an adjustment in the way they count ages.

Koreans are traditionally given an age that includes their gestation period, which means a newborn is considered one year old.

The process is now changing, with Koreans set to join the rest of the world in starting the count when a baby is born.

Son will now be considered 30 in his homeland, as he is elsewhere, and will be turning 31 on July 8th.

The attacker was linked with a move away to Saudi Arabia, but appears committed to Spurs.
