The Touch ‘n Go VISA prepaid card is the first numberless card in Malaysia, though it will still have an expiry date on it, this is one of the security measures implemented by the company which prevents misuse if the card is accidentally dropped, the card can be used at merchants without DuitNow QR and Touch ‘n Go eWallet, while money can be withdrawn at any ATM machines with the VISA logo and payments can be made at 80 million VISA merchants worldwide.

Users will have full control of the card via the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app, such as changing the PIN, blocking the card and setting payment limits, it can also be reloaded through the Touch ‘n Go eWallet app with online banking, credit and debit cards, customers can view the card number on the Touch ‘n Go app and use it for online purchases.

Unfortunately, this prepaid card doesn’t replace your existing Touch ‘n Go card for public transport and toll payments, as it is a totally separate payment card that’s used for retail purchases, Touch ‘n Go officials explained that due to technical limitations of creating the card, there is no way to integrate both the Touch ‘n Go and VISA NFC chip into one card, which the latter is being used for paywave and there will be a conflict if two different contact chips are being used.
