SINGAPORE, Aug 1 — Tourism Malaysia officially unveiled the Durian Packages-Klang Valley Edition for the Singaporean market during the 9th edition of Malaysia Fest 2026, held at Singapore Expo.

Visitors to Malaysia Fest 2026, held from July 30 to August 2, can discover thoughtfully curated itineraries that blend modern city experiences with visits to durian orchards located just outside Kuala Lumpur.

Tourism Malaysia director-general Mohd Amirul Rizal Abdul Rahim said the Klang Valley Edition aims to show travellers, particularly Singaporeans, that they do not have to choose between a cosmopolitan city getaway and an authentic farm-to-table durian experience.

“You can easily shop at world-class malls in the morning and be cracking open a fresh, naturally fallen Musang King in an orchard by the afternoon.

“We anticipate this will provide a significant boost to our tourism arrivals from Singapore, especially for the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign,” he said in a statement yesterday.

The initiative was launched by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Datuk Chan Foong Hin on Thursday.

Themed “Unveil the Wonders of Malaysia”, the four-day Malaysia Fest 2026 features 280 enterprises promoting more than 1,500 agro-food, tourism, fashion and beauty products, with a direct sales value target of RM15 million. — Bernama
