A FOREIGN tourist has vowed never to return to Malaysia after allegedly being extorted by two police officers during a late-night walk in Kuala Lumpur, Weirdkaya reported.

The tourist, who shared his experience on Reddit, claimed he was stopped in Pudu around 3am, forced to hand over his belongings, and accused of money laundering due to his cryptocurrency app and Telegram subscriptions.

Fearing legal trouble, he was allegedly taken to a dark alley, where the officers demanded RM1,850 each to release him, eventually extorting a total of RM3,700.

After reporting the incident to Dang Wangi Police Headquarters, he successfully recovered his money and was even allowed to reprimand the officers in front of their superiors.

Despite the resolution, he expressed deep disappointment, stating this was his third bad experience in Malaysia and that he would never return.
