- The Aljibe del Zenete is located in the historic Albaicín neighbourhood, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994.
- Granada's local police identified the perpetrator, who now faces a potential fine ranging from €3,000 to €30,050.
- This incident follows a similar case in 2024 where a British tourist faced a hefty fine for carving initials into a wall at Pompeii, another UNESCO site.
