THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said Tuesday that Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP) had set a "customer satisfaction campaign" to replace the power distribution boxes (PDBs) of some Lexus LM and Toyota Alphard models.
In an advisory, the DTI said that affected vehicles could have a rear window defogger connection that was improperly installed in the PDB.
"As a result, the window defogger connection may be weak or incomplete, causing it to stop working," it said, reducing rear window visibility due to fog or moisture while driving.
The affected Lexus models are LMs manufactured from Dec. 19 to 25, 2024, and Alphard models manufactured from Dec. 17 to 24, 2024.
Affected vehicle owners will be notified by Toyota for PDB replacements at Lexus and Toyota dealerships without any charges.
