A group of students from the Asia Pacific University (APU) Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Media and Communication Studies had the privilege of attending the Toyota Beyond Zero event held at Technology Park Malaysia in Bukit Jalil on 22nd February. This guided tour of the event was led by Mr. Ninderpal Singh and Mr. Robin Cheah Wen Kit, courtesy of an invitation from UMW Toyota Motor Sdn. Bhd.
The event aimed to educate and inspire the society about sustainable transportation and carbon neutrality. It allowed the students to witness the latest advancements in automotive sustainability and eco-friendly practices firsthand.
During the event, the students had the chance to explore Toyota's electrified vehicles, including Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV). They learned about the advanced technologies and the environmental benefits of these vehicles.
UMW Toyota Motor Sdn. Bhd. presented the Beyond Zero initiative during the event. This initiative aligns with Toyota's commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The event showcased Toyota's efforts in revolutionizing the automotive industry towards a more sustainable future, highlighting their dedication to reducing carbon emissions and promoting eco-friendly practices.
