KOTA KINABALU: PGRS secretary-general Datuk Mohamed Razali Razi (pic) says Sabah’s chances of securing its 40 per cent revenue entitlement depend on maintaining a steady and non-confrontational relationship with the Federal Government.
He said election-season calls for Sabah-first slogans should not distract voters from assessing leaders by their track record rather than loud political performances.
Razali, who is also vying for the Darau seat for GRS, argued that several politicians now positioning themselves as champions of state rights had previously held senior federal roles yet failed to deliver meaningful progress for Sabah.
He said his confidence in winning Darau is rooted in years of consistent community work rather than last-minute campaigning, as he continues to read encouraging signals from the grassroots.
Razali also urged young voters to stay focused on nation-building and inclusivity, reminding them that elections should be approached with responsibility rather than treated as a festive event.
