Traffic SHO Ramlal held a meeting with auto-rickshaw and e-rickshaw drivers near the traffic police post in the city and issued a series of instructions aimed at ensuring compliance with traffic rules.
SHO Ramlal directed all drivers to complete their vehicle-related documentation within the next 15 days. He warned that strict action would be taken against violators after the deadline. “Drivers have been given 15 days to complete all required documents. After that, challans will be issued and vehicles found without proper documentation may be impounded,” he said.
The SHO stressed the importance of responsible driving and urged drivers not to operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol. He also made it clear that every driver must possess a valid driving licence while on duty.
Ramlal instructed drivers to follow lane discipline and avoid reckless driving practices that often lead to traffic congestion and accidents. “Do not create traffic jams, drive carefully, stay in your lane and avoid taking sudden cuts on the road,” he added.
The SHO also appealed to drivers to uphold honesty and public trust. He urged them to return any belongings left behind by passengers and, if possible, ensure such items are delivered safely to their rightful owners. “If a passenger forgets any item in your vehicle, make every effort to return it. Be honest and set an example for society,” he said.
