Yesterday, a teenager was killed when his motorbike collided with a cow on Jalan Pantai Sepat near here.
According to NST, the victim, Mohamad Daniel Asraf Abdul Zahir, 20, died on the spot at the 9 p.m. event.
According to Kuantan police head Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu, Daniel, a food stall assistant, was riding his Yamaha motorbike from Tanjung Lumpur to his house in Kampung Cherok Paloh.
"While riding down the straight road, a cow unexpectedly crossed the road. The motorcyclist, who was going alone, lost control of his bike and collided with the cow.
"The victim was severely injured and died on the scene.
"His remains were taken to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital for post mortem," he said, adding that the cow was also killed in the incident.
Wan Zahari stated that the case is being examined under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act of 1987.
