Autopsy results have determined that two women, whose bodies were discovered in a Honda WRV SUV in Taman Sungai Rambai, had died four days prior due to helium gas inhalation. The Central Seberang Perai district police chief, ACP Helmi Aris, confirmed that the cause of death for the two local women, aged 25 and 30, was classified as sudden death after the forensics unit at Seberang Jaya Hospital conducted autopsies.

ACP Helmi Aris stated that a thorough investigation of the scene where the bodies were found did not reveal any weapons or equipment linked to the deaths or suggest any criminal activity. He added that both women had been reported missing by their families on July 5. The women were known to be good friends and had travelled to Penang from Negeri Sembilan for a holiday.

The police chief also mentioned that the autopsies were completed around 2 pm, and the bodies were subsequently claimed by the families. The discovery of the deceased woman was made yesterday evening by local residents who noticed the vehicle parked by the roadside in a housing area and alerted the authorities.

The tragic incident has left the community in shock, with many residents expressing their condolences to the families of the deceased. Helium inhalation, though rare as a method of causing death, can be fatal as it displaces oxygen in the lungs, leading to asphyxiation. This incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers associated with the misuse of substances like helium.

Authorities are continuing their investigations to gather more information about the circumstances leading up to the women's deaths. They are also looking into their activities in Penang prior to their disappearance. The case has highlighted the importance of mental health awareness and support, as such incidents often have underlying emotional or psychological factors.

In the wake of this incident, local support services and mental health resources have been emphasized to help individuals who may be struggling. The police urge anyone with additional information related to this case to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.

This tragic event underscores the importance of community vigilance and support, ensuring that individuals in distress receive the help they need before it's too late.
