JAKARTA - TransNusa was scheduled to begin twice-daily flights between Jakarta and Bangkok on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026.
The Indonesian airline said in its route announcement that it planned to operate two daily flights in each direction between Soekarno–Hatta International Airport and Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The first daily flight was scheduled to leave Jakarta at 8:20 a.m. and arrive in Bangkok at 11:45 a.m. local time. The return service was due to depart Bangkok at 12:30 p.m. and reach Jakarta at 3:55 p.m.
A second flight was scheduled to depart Jakarta at 4:30 p.m. and arrive in Bangkok at 7:55 p.m. The corresponding return service was due to leave Bangkok at 8:40 p.m. and land in Jakarta at 12:05 a.m. the following day.
“By launching the Jakarta–Bangkok route with twice-daily services from the outset, we aim to provide greater flexibility for our customers while further strengthening connectivity between our two countries,” TransNusa Group CEO Datuk Bernard Francis said.
TransNusa advertised introductory one-way fares starting at IDR 2,999,000. The airline said tickets were available through the TransNusa website, its mobile application and authorised travel agents.
The service enters a substantial Indonesia–Thailand travel market. Thailand recorded 787,524 arrivals by Indonesian nationals in 2025, according to the Thai National Statistical Office, although the total was about 10.2% lower than in 2024.
The figures cover travellers from across Indonesia entering Thailand through all airports and border points, rather than passengers on the Jakarta–Bangkok route alone.
