
KOTA BELUD: A man sustained serious injuries after being trapped in a collision involving two vehicles in Kg Tambilaung, here, on Saturday.
In the 8.55pm incident, a 53-year-old Wal Belah, who was driving a Proton Wira was reportedly suffered injuries to various parts of his body.
Another man, aged 33, who was driving a Perodua Bezza, was also injured but was rescued by members of the public at the scene.

“A total of nine personnel were deployed to the scene with one fire engine and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) utility vehicle.
“Upon arrival, firefighters found one victim trapped in the front seat of the Proton Wira. The team used specialized equipment to extricate the victim,” he said.
Elge said the injured driver was then handed over to the Ministry of Health (KKM) personnel and transported to Kota Belud Hospital for further treatment.
“The fire team also inspected both vehicles and the surrounding area to ensure there were no additional hazards.
“The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and the operation ended at 9.56pm,” he said.
