Kota Kinabalu: Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) urged Sabahans to treat the recent transfer of nine “problematic” policemen to Sabah and Sarawak as the last straw.
Warisan Luyang Chinese Coordinator Samuel Wong said the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS)-led government should “grow a spine” for the sake of Sabahans.
He said GRS as the State administration should take the lead by stating its clear stance on future abuses by the Federal Government.
“How much longer do Sabahans have to put up with the repetitive mistreatment and abuse?
“Tolerate no more. The provisions in the Malaysian Agreement 1963 have not been restored and Sabah’s rights to oil and gas have not been returned.
“The Royal Commission of Inquiry’s recommendations on illegal immigrants have been buried, and a motion to debate issues relating to claims by so-called Sulu heirs was rejected by Parliament,” he said.
In a recent statement, he brought up the losses of Sabahan lives, twice, in fires all because the MERS 999 call centre is based in the peninsula.
“This week, another bombshell was dropped when nine corrupted policemen were set to be dumped in Sabah and Sarawak. Does the Federal Government view Sabah as a junkyard for their problems?
“Issue a stern warning to federal that such disrespect will be the last one Sabahans can tolerate.
“Should similar abuse against Sabahans arise, GRS should immediately withdraw support for the Federal Government. But is GRS brave enough,” he questioned.
