TAWAU: A vehicle was damaged after being hit by a fallen tree at Mile 5 Jalan Apas, Tawau, following heavy rain and strong winds on Thursday.
Tawau Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), Jemishin Ujin said the car was hit while parked on the side of the road.
However, no casualty was reported.
A team of six members including officers along with a machine was deployed after receiving an emergency call at 1.33pm.
“They used chain saws to cut and clear the tree,” he said, adding that the operation ended at 2pm.
