  • Allan played blacksmith Frank Blakey on the ITV soap Emmerdale Farm, joining the cast in 1972.
  • He later voiced Bert Fry in Radio 4’s The Archers for 25 years, following his departure from Emmerdale.
  • His 53-year career also included appearances in The Bill, Heartbeat, Bergerac, and The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
  • Allan passed away on 8 February and is survived by his wife Susan and their two children, with fans paying tribute to his legacy.
