
LAHAD DATU: Police arrested three foreigners and seized syabu as well as air rifle in two separate operations here, on Tuesday.
District Acting Police Chief, Supt Jimmy Panyau said in the first operation at Ladang Sebrang, police arrested a 35-year-old Indonesian.
He said the suspect’s arrest led to the discovery of substances believed to be syabu weighing 5.40 grammes estimated worth RM594.

On the same day, police detained two Indonesians aged 40 and 41 in front of a house in Ladang Bagahak 3.
Police found 5.07 grammes of substance believed to be syabu on the first suspect while the second suspect’s arrest led to the discovery of a homemade air rifle hidden in the house’s porch,” he said.
Jimmy said both suspects tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
All the suspects were detained under Section 39A(1) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 as well as Section 8(a) of the Firearms Act 1960.
“Further investigations are ongoing to identify the network and modus operandi of drug trafficking activities,” said Jimmy.
Jimmy said the Lahad Datu Police are committed to combating drug activities in the district.
