RANAU: Sabah and Malaysia will be like Jeju Island in South Korea when it gets the prestigious “triple crown” recognition from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) soon
State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Jafry Ariffin said the golden opportunity is made possible following the declaration of the Kinabalu National Geopark on March 18, 2020.
He said when the recognition is given, Sabah and Jeju are the only places on earth that have received the recognition.
