- Tropical Storm Julio has formed in the Pacific Ocean roughly 815 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California, Mexico, recording maximum sustained winds of 45 mph.
- The Miami-based National Hurricane Centre reports that Julio poses no threat to land and is projected to strengthen slightly before being absorbed by the nearby, stronger Tropical Storm Iselle.
- Tropical Storm Iselle is currently located about 660 miles west of the Baja California peninsula with sustained winds of 70 mph, with no coastal watches or warnings currently active for either storm.
- Further west in the Central Pacific, Tropical Storm Lala continues to churn with winds of 50 mph without threatening land, following earlier destructive flooding caused in Hawaii when it was a hurricane.
- Meanwhile, Storm Moke is no longer classified as a tropical cyclone after previously skirting past Hawaii as a tropical storm.
