Alexis Sanchez is refusing to give up on his career with Manchester United.
The Sun says the 505,000-a-week flop has stalled over a loan to Roma for the season after falling out of favour under boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Italians are now looking at other targets as Sanchez, 30, drags his heels over ending a nightmare 18 months at Old Trafford.
Loaning Sanchez, who has a hamstring issue, to Roma, with the Serie A club paying a chunk of his wages, looked like an option when they showed interest.
But they are now looking at Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi as they fear a deal for Sanchez will not be possible.
