On the Hoshiarpur road near village Badesron, a truck driver lost his life in a collision between his truck and a tipper. Police have registered a case, conducted a post-mortem and handed over the body to the legal heirs.
The deceased, Jeevan Kumar (36), son of Ramesh Kumar, resident of Sailakhurd, was driving his truck (PB-07-AF-2605) carrying goods from Paper Mill Sailakhurd toward Garhshankar. As he reached the bridge between the villages of Badesron and Goliya, his truck collided head-on with a large tipper (PB-02-EF-9400) coming from the opposite direction.
The impact was so severe that Jeevan Kumar died on the spot. Following the accident, Garhshankar police seized both vehicles for investigation.
