French President Emmanuel Macron will receive US President Donald Trump at the Palace of Versailles on Wednesday evening to mark the close of the G7 summit, the Élysée Palace said on Saturday.
The two leaders will dine at the Palace of Versailles to mark the 250th anniversary of US independence.
The Élysée Palace said Versailles was a stronghold of US-French friendship, where the treaty that sealed the independence of the United States was signed in 1783.
The US side has confirmed the meeting.
Trump and Macron, who have repeatedly clashed verbally in the past, are first due to meet at the G7 summit of leading Western industrialized nations, which takes place from Monday to Wednesday in the French spa town of Évian on Lake Geneva.
The high-level talks are expected to focus in particular on the crisis in the Middle East and its impact on the global economy, as well as the war in Ukraine.
France holds the G7 presidency this year.
