US President Donald Trump arrived in Europe on Monday for the G7 summit, days after reaching an agreement with Iran aimed at ending the war.
Television footage showed Trump disembarking from Air Force One at Geneva airport before heading to the summit venue on the shores of Lake Geneva.
The consequences of the agreement are expected to feature prominently in discussions among world leaders during the three-day gathering. The accord between the United States and Iran is due to be signed in Switzerland on Friday.
Leaders of the Group of Seven industrialized democracies — the United States, Germany, France, Britain, Italy, Canada and Japan — are meeting from Monday through Wednesday in the French resort town of Evian on Lake Geneva.
