Donald Trump asked Graceland staff if he could have beaten karate-enthusiast Elvis Presley in a fight.

On Monday (23 March), the president paid an impromptu visit to Mr Presley's estate in Memphis after he attended a law enforcement roundtable on efforts to address crime in the city.

As staff at the estate explained that the singer was also a competent martial artist, having gained two 8th degree black belts in karate, Mr Trump asked the workers if they think he “could have taken” him on in a fight.

“I don't know? You might,” replied one. “I think he would've been respectful enough to let you win.”
