Donald Trump repeated his claim that "communists" want to "blow up Mount Rushmore" as he addressed a crowd at a high school in Marietta, Georgia, on Wednesday (22 July).
The US president appeared at Wheeler High School to deliver remarks on the "Trump Accounts" tax-advantaged investment program.
In an unrelated riff, Trump claimed: "The radical left is actively trying to destroy our children's future with the disaster known as communism."
He added that "communists" want to "take Mount Rushmore down" and "blow it up."
Trump was speaking shortly after attending the dignified transfer of four US service members killed in action in the Middle East.
