Donald Trump has claimed, without evidence, the violent protests sweeping France are being carried out by “migrants, jihadists, and Communists who hate Christianity, and Western Civilization, itself” in a stark warning to U.S. midterms voters.
The president delivered a rally in Park City, Kansas, in support of incumbent Republican Sen. Roger Marshall but nevertheless also found time to post 88 times on Truth Social over the course of a 10-hour stretch on an exhausting variety of subjects.
Of the demonstrations in France, which began as an appeal for improved resources for education before descending into violence, looting and vandalism in some cities, Trump posted: “If you want to see what is at stake in this Election, just look at what is happening in France – A once-great nation that is being conquered, looted, and burned to the ground by migrants, jihadists, and Communists who hate Christianity, and Western Civilization, itself.
“As we are seeing in Europe, Globalist Leftwing Politicians have treasonously imported millions of Third World Migrants who are totally incompatible with Western Values, and despise everything that makes France great.
“They have surrendered their country to vandals who could have never built it themselves, and who refuse to assimilate into their society, but only want to enter the welfare state paid for by hardworking citizens of France, while desecrating the culture that makes it all possible.”
The president went on to urge Europe to “CLOSE THEIR BORDERS,” insisting that the French rioters had no respect for the country’s art and architecture and threatened to bring about “the end of France.”
He pledged that the U.S. would continue to stand with Europe “despite its flaws, its weaknesses and, hopefully, its temporary loss of direction” while expressing resentment over E.U. member states’ refusal to help fight his war with Iran (“Help which we didn’t need, but was done more in the form of a test.”)
Trump insisted events in France could be repeated in the U.S., telling his followers: “When you see burning steeples and raging fires in France, just remember, THAT is what the Radical Dumocrats want to do to AMERICA.”
He concluded his rant by saying his opposition “are the party of anti-Western Marxists and hostile Third World Migrants” and proclaiming that the “maniacs attacking our Civilization… have NO IDEA of the GIANT they have awoken and unleashed,” meaning the MAGA movement, which, he said, “will never let our Nation be conquered or destroyed!”
In another post, he joked about his forthcoming Triumphal Arch in Washington, D.C., going up at a time when Paris’s celebrated Arc de Triomphe was “under siege.”
Those were just two of Trump’s posts, with many others devoted to attacking the Democrats as extremists, championing his own record in office and posting multiple pictures of a “trash island” in D.C.’s East Potomac Park as justification for his plans to makeover its golf course, currently the subject of a legal challenge.
There was praise for Elon Musk, his once-estranged ally, reminders that early voting had opened in Texas and Nevada, charts claiming the cost of essential groceries had fallen and advocacy for both Marshall and Kansas’s Republican gubernatorial candidate Ty Masterson, as well as a vicious attack on the former’s Democratic challenger, Adam Hamilton, whom Trump branded a “Radical Left Phony” and accused of being pro-trans and plotting “to take away your guns.”
In other posts, he accused Democrats of scheming “to extinguish Western Civilization” and “raise up the Palestinian Flag” and accused some of his least-favorite – including Abdul El-Sayed, Ilhan Omar and Elizabeth Warren – of “representing all the Fraudsters, Thieves, and Thugs driving around in luxury cars.”
After accusing the opposition of overseeing high inflation and ushering in the “DARK AGE of America,” he pivoting to touting his own achievements, claiming to have inspired a drop in violent crime, delivered the “largest tax cuts in American history” through his One Big Beautiful Bill, lowered drug prices and abolished DEI hiring practices.
Trump ended his spree with a series of reposts from MAGA accounts hailing his rally performance and by dwelling on the “broken and dilapidated Golf Course” in D.C., calling the lawsuit opposing his intervention “frivolous” and suggesting the presiding justice, District Judge Ana Reyes, “seems not to want Greatness for our Capital or our Nation.”
“It will be one of the Most Wonderful and Spectacular Golf Courses anywhere in the World,” the president promised of his ambitions for the site, claiming the public “is anxiously waiting for something that is really special!”
This was followed by seven different posts containing at least three pictures each of trash accumulated at the site, each of which he reposted again to underline his point.
