Mr Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Sunday to say he made Taylor Swift “so much money” during his time in office and likes her boyfriend Travis Kelce ahead of the Super Bowl game in Las Vegas.
“I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other musical artists,” the former president said. “Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor and never will.
“There’s no way she could endorse crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt president in the history of our country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money.”
He then continued to say that he likes Ms Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce, even though he suspects the football player, who will be on the Super Bowl field for the Kansas City Chiefs playing tight end, probably wouldn’t return the sentiment.
“He may be a liberal and probably can’t stand me!” Trump said.
Ms Swift has previously encouraged her fans to vote for Democratic candidates. In 2018, she asked her fans to vote against Marsha Blackburn in Tennessee.
The next two primary elections are in South Carolina and Michigan at the end of the month.
