Donald Trump has doubled down on his insults about Gavin Newsom, calling him “stupid“ and saying he did not want “a person with mental disability to be my president.”

The US president added, “ I believe he took himself out of the running when he says he suffers from mental disability.”

Trump also boasted about having taken a cognitive test and claimed he’s the “only president to have ever taken it” and called Newsom “stupid”.

The California governor has been open about his struggles with dyslexia. In response, Newsom posted on X: “Why does he keep bringing this up? Only one answer: Donald Trump is definitely dyslexic.”
