Donald Trump jokingly told world leaders “I’m the boss” ahead of a G7 meeting in France.
The US president made the declaration with a smirk as he stood at the head of the table, drawing laughs from the room ahead of the morning session on the closing day of the summit on Wednesday (17 June).
He then took a seat between UK prime minister Sir Keir Starmer and French president Emmanuel Macron, as talks on the rise of AI commenced.
During the three-day summit, which has been held in the spa town of Evian on Lake Geneva, the G7 leaders issued their support for Mr Trump’s tentative agreement with Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz.
