  • White House Spokesman Davis Ingle stated that these renovations are intended to "beautify the People’s House" and ensure its excellent condition for future generations.
  • The new black granite will be installed beneath the "Presidential Walk of Fame," an existing addition featuring portraits and biographies of past presidents, excluding Joe Biden.
  • Preparation for the construction began on Monday, March 23, with the National Park Service taking possession of the old pavers for safekeeping and future use.
  • This paver replacement is among several renovation projects undertaken by the administration, which also include a Rose Garden patio, new signage, flagpoles, and a $400 million ballroom project.
