Trump reportedly pardoned Savannah Chrisley’s mysterious new fiance

Podcaster Savannah Chrisley is engaged to a man who — like her reality TV star parents Todd and Julie Chrisley — had his prison sentence commuted by Donald Trump, according to reports.

Savannah announced her engagement and pregnancy news Monday morning in an Instagram post, identifying her mystery man only as “J.” On her podcast, Unlocked, she identified him as Jason.

But now, TMZ reports that “J” is short for Jason Galanis, a convicted criminal who was serving a 14-year prison sentence for conspiracy to commit securities fraud and investment adviser fraud in addition to other crimes. His sentence was commuted by Trump in March 2025, just weeks before the president pardoned Savannah’s parents.

Jason, 56, and Savannah, 29, started dating in July 2025, according to TMZ.

In her Instagram post, Savannah wrote of Jason: “My protector. My fiercest fighter. My most loyal person. My lover. My safe place. A man with the patience of Job (and Lord knows he needs it). The one who makes me laugh even on my hardest days. For the first time in a long time, I feel safe. I feel fulfilled. I can finally exhale. I found my forever in you.”

Jason, whose father, John Galanis, was a target of then New York U.S. attorney Rudy Giuliani’s crime crackdown back in the 1980s, was a business partner of Devon Archer – the former business associate of Hunter Biden who was also convicted of fraud for convincing a Native American tribe to issue economic development bonds, then diverting the proceeds for his own personal use.

The scheme for which Archer was convicted is also partly why Jason was in prison, with prosecutors describing him in court documents as the “mastermind” of the fraud.

Jason was previously convicted of participating in a market manipulation and fraud scheme in which he also evaded a Securities and Exchange Commission order prohibiting him from serving as an officer or executive at publicly traded companies.

Savannah shared on her podcast that she met Jason while working to secure pardons for her parents.

The multimillionaire couple, whose show Chrisley Knows Best ran from 2014 to 2023, were found guilty of conspiring to defraud community banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans in 2022. Prosecutors said the couple walked away from their responsibility for repayment when Todd, 57, declared bankruptcy.

They were also both found guilty of tax evasion and conspiring to defraud the IRS, while Julie was convicted of wire fraud and obstruction of justice.

Julie, 53, was sentenced to seven years in federal prison while Todd got 12 years behind bars. Both were also sentenced to 16 months of probation each. The couple was ordered to pay $17.8 million in restitution. They had been appealing their case since being sentenced in November 2022. Trump pardoned them in May 2025.

The family are known supporters of the president. Savannah spoke at the 2024 Republican National Convention and had previously appealed to the Trump administration for pardons for Julie and Todd.

The Independent has contacted Savannah for comment.
