Trump sexual abuse accuser E Jean Carroll faces perjury probe over lawsuit funding – report

  • The Justice Department has reportedly launched a criminal investigation into E Jean Carroll, the writer who accused President Donald Trump of sexual assault.
  • The investigation will reportedly focus on whether Carroll committed perjury in her civil lawsuits against Trump.
  • Carroll was previously awarded $5 million after a jury found Trump liable for sexual abuse, and a further $83.3 million for his defamatory statements.
