“I can sign autographs for you guys. And then tonight, you could sell them for US$25,000 on eBay,” Trump quipped during the event.
US President Donald Trump shared a light-hearted moment with children during the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, jokingly suggesting that his autograph could fetch as much as US$25,000 (RM110,000).
The Easter Egg Roll, a long-standing tradition held on the South Lawn of the White House, typically features games, storytelling, and family-friendly activities, with the President mingling with attending children and their parents.
“I can sign autographs for you guys. And then tonight, you could sell them for US$25,000 on eBay,” Trump quipped during the event.

In a video shared by the White House, a young boy walking behind him told the President, “Donald Trump, you’re the best President.”
“Thank you, honey, I agree,” Trump replied.
He later used the occasion to take a swipe at his predecessor, Joe Biden, claiming that Biden relied on an autopen—a device used to replicate signatures—to sign official documents.
“You know Biden would use the autopen.
“He’d have an autopen… He was incapable of signing his name. So they’d follow him around with a big machine,” he said.
While Trump’s remark regarding the value of his autograph was made in jest, current listings on eBay suggest a significantly lower market valuation.
Signed Trump memorabilia, such as autographed photographs and merchandise, typically sell for between US$100 (approximately RM440) and US$1,800 (approximately RM7,900), depending on the item’s rarity and provenance.
