Donald Trump will “destroy the careers of Marco Rubio and JD Vance”, says a former White House communications director as he discussed who could be the US president’s successor.
Appearing on BBC’s Newsnight on Tuesday (28 April), Anthony Scaramucci, who held the role in 2017, claimed that Mr Trump “likes eating his young” and believes both the secretary of state and vice president will be out before the term is over.
“If you don't believe me, pick up the phone and call vice president Mike Pence and ask him how his political career is going.”
