Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz will not attend the Conference of Rulers Meeting to focus on state affairs.
SEREMBAN: Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, has decided not to attend the Conference of Rulers Meeting, scheduled for Oct 13 to 15, to focus on state affairs, particularly the ceremony concerning the appointment of the Undang of Jelebu.
In a statement today, Comptroller of the Royal Household of Istana Negeri Sembilan Datuk Azizi Mohamad Ali clarified that attendance at the Conference of Rulers Meeting did not require an invitation.
“Referring to media reports today stating that Tuanku Muhriz had received an invitation to attend the Conference of Rulers Meeting, Istana Negeri Sembilan wishes to clarify that no invitation is required to attend the meeting.
“His Royal Highness also did not receive any letter or invitation from the Sultan of Perak, who will chair the meeting, to attend the pre-council meeting,” he said.
Azizi also stressed that Istana Negeri Sembilan had not previously issued any statement on the matter to any party or media organisation.
